Total Time: 35 Minutes
Serves: 4-6 People
One pack of bratwurst sausages (approximately 1-1½ lbs)
Two 12 ounce beers, room temperature
3 Tablespoons butter
2 Cloves garlic, minced
½ Teaspoon ground black pepper
Kosher salt to taste
Hot dog buns and toppings of your choice
Brats are best when parboiled, which keeps them moist and juicy on the inside. To get started, place the brats, butter, minced garlic, beer, ground black pepper and salt into a sauce pan and bring to a boil.
Once boil is achieved, reduce the heat and simmer, uncovered for 10-15 minutes or until the brats are no longer pink (Note: Meat thermometer reading of 160 degrees Fahrenheit)
Finish the brats by grilling them over medium direct-heat for 5-6 minutes, flipping and turning them frequently.
Remove the brats from the grill and serve with buns/toppings of your choice.
