Prep Time: 8 Minutes
Cook Time: 90 Minutes
Total Time: 9 Hour 30 Minutes
Serves: 4-6 People
2 Racks of baby back ribs
Brine (Brine mix ingredients listed below)
Your favourite seasoning or BBQ rub
Your favourite BBQ sauce
32 Ounces of apple cider
1 Tablespoon of minced garlic
⅓ Cup sea salt
½ Cup brown sugar
Cut the baby back ribs to 11 inches in length. Proceed to then remove the membrane from the back of the ribs and trim away any large pieces of fat
Place the baby back ribs into a large resealable container and set aside
Stir together the brine mix ingredients and then pour into the container with the ribs, covering them well. Seal the container by placing the lid on and refrigerate for 8 hours, being sure to turn the ribs occasionally
Fire up your Char-Broil Big Easy Oil-less Fryer (always turn the oil-less fryer to high)
Remove the ribs from the refrigerator and cut small slits into the meat after the first rib in each 11 inch rack of ribs. Proceed to insert the Char-Broil rib hooks into this slit.
Place the ribs onto the roasting basket (the hooks hang from the top of the basket) and lower into The Big Easy. Cook for 35 minutes
Remove the baby back ribs from The Big Easy and place each 11 inch rack onto a large sheet of aluminum foil. Sprinkle your favourite BBQ rub or seasoning mix.
Once seasoned, wrap the ribs up in the aluminum foil and seal tightly. Place the ribs back onto the hooks/roaster basket and cook for another 45 minutes
Remove the baby back ribs and check to see if they’re done. The meat should be easy to pull from the bones and should also bend easily
Remove the the baby back ribs from the aluminum foil and brush with your favourite BBQ sauce
Add the ribs back into The Big Easy once more, cooking until the BBQ sauce is warm and the ribs are cooked to the desired color
Remove the baby back ribs and let them rest for 10 minutes before slicing up and serving
